MTB -Trail - Endurance

This category consists of mountain bikes used for serious off road use with a focus on speed, weight, and traction. These models consist of aluminum or carbon fiber frames, 29 in wheel sets, 27 - 30 speeds, 80 - 100mm front forks with compression & rebound adjustments along with a lock out, hydraulic disc brakes.

MTB - All Mountain and Downhill

This category consists of mountain bikes used for serious off road use with a focus on jumping, higher downhill speeds, durability and stability. These models consist of aluminum or carbon fiber frames, 26 in wheel sets, 20 -27 speeds, 120 mm - 180mm front forks with compression & rebound adjustments along with a lock out, hydraulic disc brakes.

Pure bread down hill (DH) bikes will have long travel triple clamp forks, larger axles and hubs, larger frame tube diameters, larger brake rotors and a more rearward saddle position.

MTB - Sport -

This category consists of mountain bikes used for light trail, path, around town and beginner off road use. These models consist of aluminum frames, 26 in wheel sets (and some base 29rs), 21 - 24 speeds, 50 - 80mm front forks ranging from non adjustable to pre-load adjustable with a lockout. Brakes primarily consist of mechanical disc with some linear pull brake pad units at the lower end.
